View Full Version : Quick Test Day announcement: livecd-tools Test Day running now!

19th April 2012, 11:33 AM
One of our brave QA community members decided to throw together a quick LiveCD / LiveUSB Tools Test Day (https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2012-04-19_liveusb-tools) to fill in the blank spot on the schedule today. The goal is to test the various methods for writing Fedora 17 images to USB sticks and optical media. If you have a bit of spare time today, please drop by #fedora-test-day on Freenode IRC and help out with testing! Thanks.

Yeah. About that.

I just ran the liveCD creator tool here on my PNY-4g jump drive ... and all I ended up with was a fully functional F17 Beta jump drive install ... with all the same vunderborks my bare-metal install had before I started updating and cleaning up the development debris.

Nautilus mouse-wheel scrolling is still broken. <....>
Nouveau still scatters pixel bits hither and yon in GDM (on the menu bar/panel and in the dialog box graphics) ... and you don't even want to know what it does in Gnome-shell (if I un-blacklist it -- video card is a GeForce FX-5200.) <....>
It's still a pretty cool looking wallpaper. <....>
There still isn't a 173xx Nvidia (a)kmod in the repos to fix the chronic failures of nouveau. <..:Y..>
Adwaita is what it is ... <..:dis:..> <..:p..>

But other than that ... she's cherry! <..:thumb:..>
