Hi,

I have Fedora 16 32+ bit installed on my pc and I was trying to install Flash Player using the instructions given on this page, but there was an error coming in the terminal saying...

Another app is currently holding the yum lock; waiting for it to exit...

what should I do? Thanks.

You can try autoplus to install it.

The same error will give you the process id of the yum that is holding the lock. It could be PacakgeKit too. If you are sure you are not using yum in another terminal, just kill the process using kill process_id.

Alternatively, you can try Autoplus (http://www.dnmouse.org/autoten/). Hope this helps.

just a note about the instructions on that page.

You don't need (or really want) to install nspluginwrapper. It used to be required if you were installing the 32 bit player on a 64 bit OS and browser, but it's not needed if you follow the instructions and install the 64 bit flash plugin. (or 32 bit plugin if you have a 32 bit os and browser)

I have used this command to install Flash Plugin.

yum install flash-plugin
