Is it possible to build your own kernel without SELinux screaming at you?

SELinux is enabled, ext3 extended support enabled... but upon shutdown there are tons of "denied" messages. Using the vanilla FC3 kernel these messages don't appear of course. If I disable SELinux on bootup the messages also go away. Otherwise the machine seems to run fine but these messages bother me.

Is there a kernel option I'm missing, or is it something special the Fedora guys put in that I can't do?

I *must* build a custom kernel because of my MSI TV@nywhere Master card. I have to modify the tuner source code to enable sound. I can live with SELinux disabled but I would like to have the extra security in the future.

Are you using the kernel source provided by FC3? if so, all te 'specials' put in by the FC team are there also, so you wouldn't see the difference other than your enhancement.
