View Full Version : F16/GNOME 3.2 crash at login

I've been dealing with a problem for a couple of days now and still haven't found solution.
Every time I try to login in F16 I get an image of sad computer and a message stating that there has been a crash and I need to log out. Not very informing, as you can see.

So my first questin would be -- where could I look for more information on the possible causes of the problem (logs, perhaps)?

Secondly, my only guess at the moment would be a buggy version of Caffeine that is failing on startup, because other login profile works just fine. How can I disable it?

Check ~/.xsession-errors for hints.

If you can log into any sort of GUI (e.g. KDE) on your machine, you can start gnome-session-properties from the terminal and disable stuff there. Otherwise check out the files in ~/.config/autostart.
