View Full Version : [SOLVED] [Updates] Had no updates since 3 weeks or more

Hi,

I m afraid that my yum database install is broken, but i m not sure.

Two things makes me think this,
1/ i had a bug where each updates was doubled in yum-gui
2/ since i did solve the previous problem, yum does not find any new updates to apply.

Do you confirm that this is a bug, and therefore that you had no updates since the last 3 weeks ?
Or it is just ok, and i m simply too impatient !?

Thanks by advance,
regards

If you run fedora 13, it is normal. Fedora 13 reached the end of life (EOL) and no updates
will be released any more. See http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=265717

Fedora 15 should have had many updates in that time period (June 24 to today)

So i may be in an undesired situation where my yum manager is broken ??

Do you have an idea on where i should look to check yum, and how i should do to correct this error ?
Can you give me some clues.

thanks for your helps !

Hello,

if yum clean all doe snot work give this a try

Sometimes when yum is not updating, or simply not synchronized with the repository, it’s a good idea to clean up the cache database and fetch a new list from the server.

yum clean all
mv /var/cache/yum/ /tmp/
mv /var/lib/rpm/__db* /tmp/
rpm –rebuilddb
