I am using lenovo laptop and I have docking system, to extend another monitor on my desk for display.
So
Laptop 15.6 inch: 1600-900(16:9)
Acer 21 inch : 1920x1080 (16:9)

How to setup in fedora, so I can have both monitor display same screen, with respect of their resolution???
When I click "MIrror displays" the resolution gets messed up. I want to use my monitor for the main use and close the lid of the laptop.

THanks!

If you go to System->Prferences->Monitors you will get the options you need. Do not click the "same image in all monitors" just set the resolutions you want in each. If you want to work on you laptop but turn off it's screen go to power management and select -when lid is closed-blank screen (although it seems that it will still work as a black display -powered on- in my laptop the screen is turned off) and works perfect. When the lid is closed the screen(external monitor) turns off for a sec but if you move the mouse or something it's alive again. Hope i helped!!! :)

edit: the monitor should be connected and on to view the options
