I have a problem during BOOT. During BOOT Fedora seems to stop at the following line:

[20.245743 systemd[1]: unit systemd-tmpfiles-setup service entered failed state

for more than a minute... and then it resumes.

Please help me figure out the issue and resolve it.

Thanks.

Well, you really need to get more information before someone can locate the problem.

as root, open a terminal and then edit your/boot/grub/grub.conf file

su -
(root password)

gedit /boot/grub/grub.conf

The locate the kernel line that it is booting from

title Fedora (2.6.38.7-30.fc15.x86_64)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.38.7-30.fc15.x86_64 ro root=/dev/mapper/vg_tower20-lv_root rd_LVM_LV=vg_tower20/lv_root rd_LVM_LV=vg_tower20/lv_swap rd_NO_LUKS rd_NO_MD rd_NO_DM LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SYSFONT=latarcyrheb-sun16 KEYTABLE=us
initrd /initramfs-2.6.38.7-30.fc15.x86_64.img

The highlighted line above is the kernel line. You may have options on the end of it that are rhgb and quiet. If you do, remove them, and the add another one to the end of the line systemd.log_level=debug

You kernel line should then look something like this:

title Fedora (2.6.38.7-30.fc15.x86_64)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.38.7-30.fc15.x86_64 ro root=/dev/mapper/vg_tower20-lv_root rd_LVM_LV=vg_tower20/lv_root rd_LVM_LV=vg_tower20/lv_swap rd_NO_LUKS rd_NO_MD rd_NO_DM LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SYSFONT=latarcyrheb-sun16 KEYTABLE=us systemd.log_level=debug
initrd /initramfs-2.6.38.7-30.fc15.x86_64.img

That should give you a lot more information when it hangs and possibly you will be able to find the problem.

Well, you really need to get more information before someone can locate the problem.

Firstly, I have not installed the Boot Loader when Installing Fedora 15. Instead I use the GRUB I installed with Ubuntu Lucid Lynx.

Secondly, when I run # gedit /boot/grub/grub.conf I get the following output:

(gedit:1428): EggSMClient-WARNING **: Failed to connect to the session manager: None of the authentication protocols specified are supported

g_dbus_connection_real_closed: Remote peer vanished with error: Underlying GIOStream returned 0 bytes on an async read (g-io-error-quark, 0). Exiting.
Terminated

The following is the grub.cfg from Ubuntu:

I use GRUB CUSTOMIZER to customize my MBR.

That should give you a lot more information when it hangs and possibly you will be able to find the problem.
So how do I proceed with the above set up to get "lot more information when it hangs and possibly be able to find the problem"?
