I'm new to linux and just intalled FC2. So far it looks very good, but I use internet radio to keep current and I am not able get it working.
I assume rhythmbox is the app to use, but when I enter a web address, the Buffering panel keeps working, but no sound.
I have a high bandwith connection and when I installed FC2, I enabled the firewall with the default settings.
Thanks in advance.

If it's an mp3 stream, it won't work because there are licencing issues. I install xmms-mp3 and xmms can stream internet radio.

See http://www.fedorafaq.org/#xmms-mp3 about getting mp3 support.

XMMS has integrated internet radio like Winamp? How do you do that?

Yes it has. You just take the URL. It has the form ip:port/stream.pls or so, you delete stream.pls and just let ip port e.g. ht tp://123.456.78.910:8000 and make add URL and there you paste it.

For Rhythmbox you need the gstreamer-plugins-mp3 package. That's what it was called for FC1. I don't see it in the FC2 repositories that I use (Dag, Freshrpms, etc.) but there is one called gstreamer-plugins-extra-audio from freshrpms that seems to replace it in FC2:
