I am a newbie to fedora. I am impressed with it. I have finished doing all the updates however Tux racer no longer works.

When I attempt to open tux racer it send me back to the log in screen of fedora.

Anybody have any idea why this happens.

Thank you in advace for your help

Tux Racer does require hardware acceleration, make sure you have that. Try to launch it from a terminal, open the terminal in system tools and enter:

tuxracer

Look for error messages in the terminal.

Which video card? If you had an nVidia for example and updated the kernel you would have to update the drivers.

You have an intel i810 video card with 4mb of ram, how were you able to play tux? It requires more video ram at least 16mb.

Wow. Good question. At least I know now there is nothing wrong with the installation of fedora. Thank you very much for your help. How do you uninstall Tux Racer? May as well get rid of it since I can't use it.

Many Thanks

Dafydd
