View Full Version : Screen Flicker and Temporary Freeze

I have been gone for a couple of weeks. I did a system update and now am getting an annoying screen flicker which is accompanied by a short freeze of keyboard and mouse (a second or 2). The system has been pretty stable prior to the update. Each flicker is paired with

The problems appear to start after launching firefox. If I use Chrome the NVRM messages do not show up in the system log file. I will also note that if the flicker/freeze cycle starts, it gradually becomes more frequent making the system nearly unusable. At one point Compiz crashed and I had to restart the system.
