good morning, or whatever,

i want to download "fedora" so i can install it on my computer. but the mirror sites and all the available isos and the other stuff are so confusing that i have know idea what I need to download. please tell me what is what and where its best to download. i'm lost!

This is the official fedora download site (there are other mirrors)

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/2/i386/iso/

you will want to download the iso's
FC2-i386-disc1.iso
FC2-i386-disc2.iso
FC2-i386-disc3.iso
FC2-i386-disc3.iso
use your favorite cdr software and burn the images to disc...
put disc 1 in your computer and reboot it should take you to the anaconda installation screen

hey,

thank u guys. i found some spanish servers that are a little faster for me, but still its around 15kbits again. what do i have broadband for if its always that slow?? :mad:

have you tried bit torrent?

Its a way of spreading the load to multiple computers for faster downloads on your part, but at the same time, your computer will be uploading to someone else (share and share alike)

Also, you may want to wait until monday for Fedora Core 3 to come out.

Can always suscribe to LINUX FORMAT which comes with either DVD or CD's of different like OS's and software.
