hello all,

is it possible to change the GDM default skin on Fedora 14? I searched the web and this forum, but didn't get a working solution for it.

best regards

Changing the background is easy enough, there are instructions aplenty here if you use the search function. The rest of it is not so easily done. You'll have to install a different login manager if you
want something you can actually use themes with.

thanks, just changed the background as mentioned in "How to Install a GDM Login Theme". Not my preferred solution, but it works and help me get rid of that ugly background.

i did face the same problem. now, it's never exist. it's just a problem in ATI card. i wrote the following 2 commands after that. you will not see the problem again.

If you use GDM, which is the default Login Manager on Fedora 14

1- sudo gedit /etc/gdm/gdm.conf
2- write that " AlwaysRestartServer=true " then click save
3- reboot.

that's all
