So I decided to get a database up and running so my website can do cool stuff. The problem is, where does the cool stuff come into play in all of this?? I mean, I've got a website, with access to a mysql database...what in the world do I do with it now?

What's something fun/cool I can do? dynamic content? What would you guys do with it? Give me some project ideas or something to do with it.

Many dynamic content systems or web logs use a database backend. Slash (http://www.slashcode.com/) runs the famous Slashdot (http://slashdot.org/), with a perl and mysql backend.

There are plenty more (http://directory.google.com/Top/Computers/Software/Internet/Site_Management/Content_Management/) available. Take a look at php and perl based ones.
