Can RAID be implemented on a single hard disk ? If yes, plz give a link for it.

I believe you can assemble a RAID with different partitions of the same harddrive, but why would you? There will be more overhead, and instead of gaining speed, you LOSE speed

Raid 0 wouldn't be much use on a single drive, but you could mirror one partition on another. That would be similar to raid 1, but if the drive dies you lose both partitions and all your data. I can't think of a situation where much data integrity was gained by mirroring to the same drive. And since the speed up provided by raid 0 depends on accessing two drives simultaneously, that's not much use either.
