I've been running F12 since it came out and have had a Streamzap remote for years and its worked wonderfully. It was working fine on the 6th, but on the 7th, it stopped.

Just this weekend, however, lirc stopped behaving. I went in to do some diagnostics
and try to figure out what went wrong. The first thing I did was try mode2. Here's the
output:
root@sys:# mode2
mode2: could not get hardware features
mode2: this device driver does not support the LIRC ioctl interface
mode2: major number of /dev/lirc0 is 249
mode2: LIRC major number is 61
mode2: check if /dev/lirc0 is a LIRC device
root@sys# ls -al /dev/lirc*
crw-rw---- 1 root root 249, 0 2010-03-08 20:42 /dev/lirc0

I haven't changed anything, although I let the box do its normal updates and I
got a new kernal, X11, and a few other goodies on the 7th.

Anyone else had their lirc blown away with recent updates? Anything else I should be looking at?

TIA,
Marty
