I just installed from the RC4 i386 iso, and, finally got all the way through the install, although upon first reboot, before entering User name, the Fedora bubble hung for about a minute, after entering the User and rebooting, the hang went away.

One question, if anyone knows, dd_wizard had a problem with gvfs when updating earlier, I'm just wondering if the same version is still in updates testing so I can exclude it from the update.

3AM here, will play with it more in the morning.

I was going to ask the same question about gvfs, I've been un-selecting it from updates yesterday and this morning.

Is it possible to install from only disk one( Fedora-13-Alpha-x86_64-disc1.iso )

gvfs-1.5.4-2 seems to have the missing service files put back.
At work currently so I cannot test.

It's still broken -- I just updated and got the message 'could not display "x-nautilus-desktop://" DBus error. And everything is in 1024x768 resolution I think, rather than 1440x900.

Also, I downloaded the alpha netinstall.iso for i386 just to see if it'd work on my old ibm thinkpad with a PIII and 256mb of ram  and after it got to 'probing EDD ok' it had a message 'uncompression error -- system halted' I'm going to try it on the desktop pc to see if it does the same thing -- I suspect it will.

Update -- the netinstall is installing on my desktop just fine. So I'll have a x86_64 and a i386 install on the same computer. Since it's netinstall it'll have the current gvfs -- I'll have to head to koji I guess.

Thanks CiaW, I have successful installs from both 32 & 64 bit RC4 DVD's on desktop. I'm going to exclude the gvfs package for the update. Keeping fingers crossed that there are no other packages like this in updates-testing.

Ah just noticed, gvfs-1.5.4-2 was the package vallimar said was fixed, gvfs-1.5.4-1 is the package included in the update.

On 64bit update I needed:
yum --nogpgcheck --exclude=gvfs*,openoffice.org* --skip-broken update to get it going

The gvfs-1.5.4-2.fc13.x86_64 packages from koji installed ok, and seem to be functional. At least I have access to the files on my Windows user partition.

Also, the newest gimp on koji pulls in the new gegl. :)
