Hi, im a noob at Fedora, my teacher has told us to create a target for us to hack into and steal information from etc in VMWARE.
At the moment im downloading Fedora 12 and Fedora 12 FEL.
Being honest I dont know the difference, and the site I got them from doesn't explain.

I've been told to find out how to install HTTP, FTP, and SSH onto Fedora when I download it.

So my first question is -
1. Which Fedora is best?
2. How to install each of these services on the Fedora on VMWare.

Thanks in Advance and sorry for the poor topic.;)

Fedora -12 EFL is just the lighter version of full blown fedora - 12.
Fedora-12 FEL will have more of EDA tools. You can get the EL environment in regular fedora as well by installing relevant software
e,g, yum groupinstall 'Electronic Lab'

for more info see : http://spins.fedoraproject.org/fel/

Use the following command to search and install any software u like.

# yum search <keyword>
# yum install <paste the name of software from above search>

Http and SSH are both installed by default, but I'm not sure about FTP.
Go to System > Administration > Services and enable whatever you like.

I believe the FTP service if it's installed is vsftp...
SSH will show up as sshd, and Http will show up as httpd. The d is for daemon.
