Hi,

I just installed Fedora 12 and so far, I like it. I have some user accounts set up and want to be able to set a default password, such as default1234 for each user and force the user to change their password during logging onto Gnome. I'm sure it can be done, but can't figure it out. Does anyone know how it can be done?

Thanks,

Chris

This is going to cause user to change password at first login

# /usr/bin/passwd USER
# /usr/bin/chage -d 0 USER

-d, --lastday LAST_DAY
Set the number of days since January 1st, 1970 when the password was last changed. The
date may also be expressed in the format YYYY-MM-DD (or the format more commonly used
in your area).

system-config-users (Menu item = "Administration" => "Users and Groups") should give a GUI to do this (select user(s), change password options, etc.).
