i recently installed fedora on my eeepc1000hd and im having problems installing simple programs.

for example i download limewire or flash player for youtube and when they download they open up in the archive manager instead of opening up witht the install client.

what can the problem be?

.deb is the native packaging format for Debian and distributions based on Debian. The short version of it is to avoid using .deb files on Fedora.

The autoten link provided above can be used to automatically install Frostwire for you. Frostwire is basically the same thing as Limewire (and they use the same peer 2 peer network).

Use yum's search to find your packages:

su -
yum search ipod

Damn, there are so many ipod packages! Take your pick.
