So almost 17 hours ago, I started installing updates on f11. The update is stuck at the Cleaning up packages stage. Anyone else run in to this? :confused:

Reboot the system, run yum update and post full output.

Before it's done updating? I don't want to F up the rpm database or anything.

Well, too late for that. Just do what I said and we'll pick up from where you left upon reboot.

As far as I know, the cleanup phase only removes the already installed packages from your cache. So the packages are already installed and your package database is updated.

you are going to have to reboot

there is no way around it.

are you using a nvidia 3d card ?? If so there is a bug in the new kernel . you might have to boot into the old kernel to fix it.

Try
su
rm -fv /var/lib/rpm/__db.*
rpm --rebuilddb

### Wait to finish

yum clean all && yum install yum-presto && yum update --enablerepo=u*g --skip-broken
