View Full Version : USB drives no longer showing up in panel...

Hi all,

I'm running F10 (KDE) on the following PC:

Processor : 2x Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz
Memory : 3111MB (823MB used)
Operating System : Fedora release 10 (Cambridge)
Resolution : 1440x900 pixels

I have several external usb hard drives that I plug in when needed. Up until a week ago, whenever I plugged a hard drive in, a little box would pop up from my taskbar at the bottom showing the drive I just plugged in. From there I could open the drive and go about my business. Now, the box doesn't pop up anymore. I can still go to dolphin and get things going from there, but I really liked the little pop up box and I can't figure out why it stopped working....any ideas?

thanks so much in advance,

SOLVED! I swear I checked this the other day and I couldn't find it, but I must have deleted the widget from my taskbar...checking the widgets again, I found "Device Notifier." I added it back and things are back to normal....sorry for the waste of bandwidth ;)
