:confused: My computer mysteriously rebooted itself this morning. I was checking my YIM msgs from GaIM and Poof rebooted itself. Anyone have this happen before?

You might want to test run your ram using memtest86, most of reboot cases caused by bad rams and cpu heats, i used to blame software until i started checking my hardware, most of the time my ram have a bad blocks

Maybe it was oscillation failure in electricity.

Check your digital clock or vcr for the power failure, if nothing is wrong with that I have
to agree with ewdi.

well I have a subwoofer system so if there was a power flicker I would have heard it also. My clocks are fine and everything. Ugh my system had been running fine for about a week. i'll look into that memtest86 hoping its not memory.

Have you checked inside your case recently? I had a bad case of the dust bunnies awhile back that was causing a heat problem and reboots.

i usually run it for 1 hour if i have 1GB or more

I installed a Geforce FX5900XT a few weeks back. Didn't seem to be very dusty, I'll run that memory checker utility
