Post install of the OS, can we still use the install DVD to add more software/libraries or we have no choice but to add things from repositories? Can we somehow use the install DVD as a repository? I think I have asked this question before, but that was back during F7, so I don't remember what the answer was and it probably wouldn't matter for F11 :D

Thanks in advance.

Hi if i remember correctly:rolleyes: this is what you add in /etc/yum.repos.d/media.repo (new file)

[fedora-dvd]
baseurl=file:///media/Fedora%2011%20i386%20DVD/
enabled=1
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora-$basearch
you will need to change i386 to x86_64 if you are using 64bit, i think thats right but dont quote me on it.

Yes, thanks, I found smoe set of instructions somewhere. But adding core applications through Add software seems such a pain that I am going to redo my install with customization (that's what I usually do, but for some reason I didn't this time).
