for installation off the install disk. tried the local install and everything I know
but keeps wanting to look at an internet site.
have disk mounted and /media/dvd
don't have an internet connections for linux as yet and a very slow,slow,slow dial up

hi gang

somebody out there apparently has an answer to this.
please any advice available needed. just getting started with fedora 9 so have a lot to
learn.
no internet connection as yet so I am restricted to installing any program from the fedora
install disk...so far with success.
I have use rpm for the simple stuff with no dependencies by copying to my hard drive and
using rpm.
no luck howeve with the larger stuff with lots of dependencies
I have read this is possible using <local install> option with yum but as yet no luck here.

thanks in advance
