Hi!

I want to run my XWindows programs but the error I am getting is unable to find the library files the path i am giving to compile my files is as follows

gcc -I /usr/X11R6/include -L /usr/X11R6/lib -l X11 -o xwinq2 xwinq2.c

xwinq2 is name of my file

Help pls?

Remove all the -I and -L options from your compile command. If the necessary development packages are installed gcc finds the files using standard paths.

they might need to be rewrote for fedora 10
rh9 to fed 10 is like going from "Win 95" to "vista "

It didn't helped

They are basic c programs and i think they can be compiled by normal gcc compiler

you might see if "libX11-devel" is installed

su
rpm -qa | grep X11

have you installed the Dev Tools? and lib's?

su -
yum groupinstall "Development Libraries" "Development Tools" "X Software Development"
