View Full Version : Samba server stop working!!!need help

Hi all.
I configure samba server on fc10 and was working, after restarting the O/S I am not be able too see my samba server.
I restart the samba server whit the command "/etc/init.d/smb restart" but nothing was happen.
anybody have any suggestion how to fix this???

Read the log and notes for the newest samba for F10. .28 I think.

Also check the service(s) for being on for bootup. system-config-services

Try this ....

chkconfig smb on
service smb start

Don't forget the nmb counterpart as well.

I suggest you try "su service samba start"
Any errors in the /var/log/messages

I suggest you try "su service samba start"

That samba service file does not exists.

You may want to look in /etc/init.d, those are all of your service files.

For Samba, its nmb and smb.
