I have been running Suspend and Hibernate from the gnome-power-manager applet on my laptop. Lately Suspend and Hibernate dissappeared from the gnome-power-manager applet.
I'm running Fedora 10 on my laptop with SLIM and IceWM. I still don't know which update removed Suspend and Hibernate from the gnome-power-manager applet, but by running
polkit-auth
I realised that the problem is due to authentication. By starting IceWM with
exec ck-launch-session icewm-session
instead of just
exec icewm-session
the problem was solved and Suspend and Hibernated reappeared.
