View Full Version : Kmail in Gnome: Can't Type, Write, or Use Key Commands

I just installed FC10 and am trying to use Kmail in Gnome, but it stopped accepting input from my keyboard in most text areas of the composer:

I can use key commands to do things like check messages and (sometimes) reply to a message.
I can usually type in the first input field (To: ...).
I cannot type in secondary input fields (CC:, BCC:, or message body).

Any ideas on what's happening and how to fix it? I've used Kmail in Gnome before and never had this problem.

FYI, I usually use KDE, but KDE4 keeps crashing with my NVIDIA video card (FX 5700LE, 256MB). Gnome 2.24 is stable, and I had to use the 96 series driver (from rpmfusion) in order to get it to display at my screen's native resolution of 1600x1200. Don't know if maybe that has something to do with the Kmail in Gnome problem.

Thanks,

Jeff

This problem was fixed by running a suggested system update this morning. Still don't know why it happened.

I just updated the packages that appeared as available in the automated system update.
