In trying to uninstall a bunch of KDE stuff with Pirut on Gnome I must have deleted something that Yum needs...Doesn't work at all now. (and, of course Pirut doesn't work now)..Terminal sessions don't even recognize yum as a command...Would like to re-install it...but have got so hooked on Yum now, that I don't know how ..Could somebody please point me in the right direction? I'm still on fc8 here but I've had so few problems with it up till now, that I don't want to move up to fc10...But, I will if I have to...

Break out the cd/dvd, and install what you need with rpm.

You can also configure rpm like this: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=214822

Re: "Yum is gone, and I miss it." Thank you all. I was able to get the packages off the dvd, as you suggested Jonathan. Jake, the fc10 package wouldn't install..kept wanting some cryp/decryp stuff from Python...?...Anyway, yum works now (and I re-learned some stuff)...Thanks, again.
