View Full Version : How to install rpm.bin packages ?

I downloaded jdk-6u12-linux-i586-rpm.bin but I don`t know how to installed it. :confused:

> Open a terminal window.
> Move into the folder where the jdk-6u12-linux-i586-rpm.bin is located; for example:
cd ~/Downloads
> Make it executable:
chmod +x jdk-6u12-linux-i586-rpm.bin
> Execute it as root user:
[sudo OR su -c] jdk-6u12-linux-i586-rpm.bin

I tried the above, with a more up to date version, but it did not work. When I did the last command, it said ''command not found"

I did end up using ./ before you posted and it worked.
