View Full Version : Thumnail Cleanup in Nautilus

Is there any way to automatically have Nautilus clean up after itself?

I was just doing a lot of system backups and noticed that the thumbnail folder had 42,000 files in it. This is ridiculous, and even though the files were small, they were taking my backup program a lot of time to load, compress, and store.

I deleted them all, forcing it to start over. Many of the thumbnails were from files long deleted.

My best guess is to set up a chron job to dump the things on a weekly basis.

I muck them out by hand about once a month.
