Hi, could someone please point me in the direction of a tutorial or other information about adding some of my custom scripts to login. What I mean is I have some scripts that I want to run when I login as a user, not when the system is booting up. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

"Session preferences" is probably what you are looking for.

Main Menu -> System -> Preferences -> Personal -> Sessions

Would it work if you go System > Preferences > Personal > Sessions and add the scripts into the startup? For instance, I have a devilspie script in the startup programs so as soon as I log on it opens my gnome terminal and runs the devilspie script to edit the terminal to my liking.

#hello world script - hello.sh
echo hello world

in sessions, in the command: text box

gnome-terminal -e /path/to/hello.sh
