Anyone have any success using any "high quality" USB DACs? Have an X-FI USB, which works well in Windows, but is unsupported in Linux*. The open source Creative drivers [currently] work with the PCI versions only.

I don't play games, and I'm not interested in 3D effects or other enhancements, so I've been looking for a dedicated USB DAC, probably like the the ones on Pacific Valve (http://www.pacificvalve.us) or Audio Magus (http://www.audio-magus.com/), which are in the $300 range.

*I can get sound from the optical jack using OSS, but it's awful, flat, and might even be mono -- can't even tell.
