Hello,

I am fairly new to Linux in general but when I try to switch to root in the terminal by typing the command

"Sudo root"

when I press enter and enter the password I get the following error:

"rrhodes is not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported".

I have used Ubuntu in the past and did not have to update any files is this something I have to do to switch to root in the terminal? If so can someone shed some light on what needs to be done specifically?

Running FC10 on HP NC6230 notebook.

Thanks in advance for your replies. :)
