In GParted and QTParted, I don't see anywhere to change the label of a partition. I bought a WD drive that is called "My Book" so of course the space causes massive problems with some stuff. Anyone know how to do this?

Hello:
Install mtools

yum -y install mtools

Then from your computer icon on the desktop, find your FAT drive and unmount it. via right click.

Then from a terminal

su -

fdisk -l
to identify the FAT disk

then

mlabel -i /dev/sde1 ::Fat32_NewName

sustitute /dev/sde1 for your actual and replace Fat32_NewName with the label you want.

exit, power down your new drive, then repower it and let it automount and it should have the new label

Will that work for NTFS too?
