View Full Version : tifm infinite loop problem

Recently, my system stopped working with removable storage devices. I also noticed that my log file was being filled with the following;

Dec 31 09:39:51 localhost kernel: tifm_core: MemoryStick card detected in socket 0:1
Dec 31 09:39:51 localhost kernel: tifm0 : demand removing card from socket 0:1

I found that the problem only happened when I logged as one user. Others did not cause the problem. After a lot of poking around, I went to ".nautilus/metafiles/" and deleted anything that referred to a removable disk. This seems to have fixed the problem.

Any insight into how/why this happened?
