View Full Version : jumpy mouse and failure to shutdown

Since upgrading to F10, I've been running into a situation where the mouse on my laptop starts to get jumpy (usually when I'm browsing a webpage) - system monitor and top don't show any processes taking up a lot of cpu processes though. When I try to restart, Network Manager and rpcbind throws errors and fails to shutdown properly, and when it tries to shutdown the system logger, it gets into some kind of loop and never finishes the shutdown sequence.

Even without the jumpy mouse problem, network manager has been throwing errors every time I shut down.

I'm running a Lenovo Thinkpad X61. I think this started happening after the first Kernel update for F10, though it could have been from when I originally installed F10. A week before I installed fedora 10, Lenovo also did a BIOS update when my laptop was in for service (CPU fan died).

Any one have any solutions? -- I might just do a fresh install of F10 on my system.

was it a fresh install or a upgrade
if upgrade try making a new user and see if it still happens on the new user.
