Been playing around with my Logitech Quickcam Communicator STX and cannot seem to stream both video and audio at the same time. While using mencoder either will work, but not together. This is the command that I have used and different variations thereof:

mencoder tv:// -tv driver=v4l2:width=640:height=480:device=/dev/video1:alsa:forceaudio:amode=0:adevice=hw.1,0 -fps 15 -ovc lavc -oac mp3lame -lameopts cbr:br=64:mode=3 -o testsnd.avi

This is the output that is generated:

Floating point exception <- This part has me wondering

Has anyone had any success with capturing this webcam to file? I have also tried ffmpeg and xawtv with no success. Perhaps someone has the method and would be willing to share it?
