Hi,

F8 has a nice greeter at login, since then the greeter is ugly and, being the first thing a new user sees in F9 and F10, it takes away a lot of the polish that you Fedora boys are steadily adding into Fedora.

When is GDM going to look professional again?

No idea when it'll improve, but apparently you can downgrade to the F8 GDM version and it'll still work, themes and all.

See this: Get rid of non-customisable login screen (http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=207561)

Go to the following website: GDM (http://live.gnome.org/GDM)

Scroll down to the last paragraph of the webpage headed: "GDM Rewrite"

It will explain the situation.
