View Full Version : Latest set of updates [12/7/08] Broke Gnome Update.

The latest set of updates broke the gnome update manager, F10. I think it's called gnome-packagekit.

I wanted to report it to bugzilla; but I've forgotten my user name for my bugzilla account. I can reset the password, but I can't retrieve the user name. I tried to create a new account; but as of right now I haven't received the email that was supposed to be sent by bugzilla.

The error I get when I try to check for updates is:

Failed to Update package lists:

Failed to get a TID: A security policy in place prevents this sender from sending this message to this recipient, see message bus configuration file (rejected message had interface "org.freedesktop.PackageKit.Transaction" member "SetLocale" error name "(unset)" destination "org.freedesktop.PackageKit") (0)

Not a very helpful error; but there you have it.

Could someone please file a bug report on my behalf?
