I have this folder (mounted with sshfs)

drwxrwxrwx 1 doriad doriad 4096 2008-12-02 11:00 sgi

But root can't see it, as seen here:

[root@jec6110h ~]# ls -l /home/doriad/sgi
ls: cannot access /home/doriad/sgi: Permission denied

Why is this? How can I allow root to see it?

Thanks,

Dave

Can you show the /etc/fstab entry for that drive?

sshfs#doriad@sgi6110.ecse.rpi.edu:/home/doriad /home/doriad/sgi fuse noauto,users,uid=501,gid=501 0 0

Now that you mention it that's probably what's wrong haha. What do I put if I want everyone (well really just me and root) to have permissions?

Thanks,

Dave
