Don't know exactly how it happened. But now when I type commands, for example

"sudo yum update"

it will say:

"Repository fedora is listed more than once in the configuration
Bad id for repo: fedora updates, byte = 6"

it seems that there are some conflicts in the yum configuration. However, I have no idea what to do...

Could anyone help? Thanks!

Take a look in /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-updates.repo and see if you can find a line that contains [fedora updates]. If there is one, eliminate the space by removing it, changing it to a hyphen, removing the "fedora ", or something else. If there isn't one, look in the other .repo files in /etc/yum.repos.d/ for such a line.
