after digging around a bit found a game i wanted to check out they requier some stuff to be installed like physfs 1.1.1 however they requier it in a spicific spot ie: /usr/lib/ yet when i installed it it whent to /usr/local/lib/ so the program scripts cant find the library now to use it and im wondering how you remove a package like physfs when i used cmake - make - makinstall to install it and not the yum install physfs (they said the yum package didnt work for it and i should do a custom) but now i want to remove the physfs and retry installing to the /usr/lib/ directory however i dont know how to remove the old one before installing the new one... anyone know the command or method to do this?

you can/should create links in the required path.

ln -s /usr/local/lib/physfs /usr/lib/physfs
