I am now using Banshee as my mp3 player/organisor/ripper and all round good audio egg. But I've found a problem....

I use those small USB thumbdrive thingys but find I have to copy music to the drive via file explorer windows (or command line I guess) as with my setup Banshee doesn't seem to recognise a drive has been plugged in.

I'd love it if I could persuade Banshee to present an icon for the drive in the left pane so I can drag and drop music from my library.

Any ideas why this might not happen?
Banshee or system config issue?

(FC8, recent Banshee install)

I did the ".is_audio_player" trick on my Nokia E51 and it works like a charm (with Rhythmbox). I believe Banshee can be made to recognise a USB drive as an audio device in the same way.

In case anyone searches here for the same problem:

Finally got round to try this .is_audio_player file thing with my generic USB thumb drives.
Worked a charm :)

I can now drag and drop bewteen library/playlists and my drive using the Banshee interface :D
