I'm trying to setup FC9 on a compactflash card that is the hard drive for an older VIA board. I started this process by downloading and burning the latest i686 live cd, and trying to boot to it, with the intent of then installing it to the compactflash card.

Unfortunately right after the initial Fedora splash screen, I got this error:

This kernel requires the following features not present on the CPU:
cmov
Unable to boot, please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU.

I'm afraid this message leaves me a bit in the dark. Would I need an i386 live cd? I've looked for this but there doesn't seem to be any such thing?

Any advice is appreciated.

Hello:
Unfortunately there are no F9 i386 LiveCD's only i686, so you are going have to choose another option.

ok... what would "another option" be for someone looking to install to flash media?
