I did a new install of Fedora 9. Then i installed my application and application server.. red5, tomcat. The first time my application started without any issues. Then after i restarted Fedora, and started my application, i get an error where it says sed command not found
uname command not found

I checked my usr/bin folder there is not sed or uname folder.

How to rectify this issue???

Probably path problem. Check /etc/profile.

sed and uname in /bin directory

Use yum to check, install or reinstall sed and coreutils.

# yum list sed coreutils
# yum install sed coreutils
or
# yum reinstall sed coreutils

EDIT: check /etc/profile and /root/.bash_profile
# echo $PATH <--- to see if /bin is in it.

alternatively in your script you could have just used the full path...
