I follow instruction to set up CVS and to get inet.d to run pserver to answer.

So then it says to do inet restart or killall -HUP inetd

Then when I try to login via pserver it says connection refused.

Any tips?

thx,

I set this up on a Red Hat Linux machine once.

Create the file /etc/xinet.d/cvspserver containing:
service cvspserver
{
disable = no
port = 2401
socket_type = stream
protocol = tcp
wait = no
user = root
passenv = PATH
server = /usr/bin/cvs
server_args = -f --allow-root=/usr/cvsroot pserver
}
Replace /usr/cvsroot with your root. Restart xinetd, run
service xinetd restart as root.
