Sorry if the topic title is a bit lacking in detail. Not sure if anybody can help with this, but~

I have a "Media Computer" (Vaio Desktop) that came with Windows Media Center that allowed me to watch TV, listen to audio through the front headphone jacks (as well as record through mic) as well as a few other media ports.

My sound works with the speakers plugged in the back, however that doesn't help for the front. As well, I can't seem to watch TV on Linux. At least, the programs I had kept giving me a "no signal" message (when it works under Windows).

Main issues:

Front audio jacks don't work
TV tuner doesn't work
Extra HDD/controller card not "seen"

What am I doing wrong? Were some drivers not found for the hardware or... something else?

Sigh, I just want to have everything working.

Here's what I'm working with. If there is any other info that I'm overlooking, lemme know.

I think you might have to jump through some extra hoops to get the TV-out working for that ATI card. See:
man ati
man radeon
