After some searching and experimentation, I have found that the regular mount command does not work with .mir. Ascetone does not mount it, nor does it burn the filetype. I'm looking for advice on where to look to learn how to mount this file-type.

Thanks in advance!

You're gonna haffta help me out a bit here.

Normally, you mount devices - not files - into a file system.
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/sda1

The exception is when mounting the image of a device using - o loop.
mount -o loop file.iso /mnt/iso

So, I'm guessing .mir is an image file of some kind? Never heard of it - never seen one and a very quick google search yields info on a defunct space station.

What'chya got there?
