I am using the sidecandy hdd, cpu, ram, and network monitors. It seemed like a pretty awkward install process - I couldn't find these things on the gDesklets website so I found them after a while of googling. Is there not a more standard way to install widgets like this?

Also, is there a desklet that lets you see this type of information on a remote machine (i know gkrellm can do that)?

Thanks,

Dave

Support for gDesklets has been wanning for some time. It seems to be all but totally gone. You might want to check out "screenlets" instead, which is in Leighs Fusion repo. To install that repo, if you haven't already, just go to the Guides & How-To Articles section of the forum and click on the compiz-fusion 'sticky' for instructions on how to add the fusion repo.

I've also posted a link not too long ago for RPMs of Google Gadgets... gDesklets was removed from my system some time ago :)

Edit: The link I gave previously is now out of date, the RPMs have been updated :) The "devel" RPM is not needed...
